Cortisol is a hormone

We have already mentioned something about cortisol in the last chronobiology entry , but I think we should dedicate a few words to it because I think we give little importance to all the ills that it brings to our lives.
Cortisol is a hormone released by the adrenal cortex, essential for life, but in these times, everything is going too fast and we are not adapted to the stresses of modern life, they affect us differently, but that tension is accumulating.
Cortisol should be kept high in the morning and reduced in the evening to allow melatonin and GH to work. That would be normal, but the problem is when it is also high at night. This is the price we have to pay for a life full of technology, work and all the stress that comes (often due to monotony), noise, bills and many more circumstances that we already know. The problem is when such tension accumulates that we are not able to control it and that produces more tension, it is the snowball effect.

Our ancestors, thousands of years ago, lived much less than us, it is clear, if you fell ill or had a wound you died, there were no antibiotics, but their lifestyle was very different. We also had to take into account the factor of beasts with which they lived and hunted.

Cortisol allows us to obtain energy from the mobilization of glucose and fatty acids. For our ancestors, that was essential stanozolol prix, since in cases of flight and fight it ensured you have energy to survive, in addition to activating, among others, the hormone adrenaline. Cortisol is also a powerful anti-inflammatory that in the case of being injured protected us to continue. We are designed to have acute cortisol, as much as it was life or death and then calm down, but today our cortisol is chronic, we are stressed all day and that causes many problems until we even grow old , it shortens our life .

Even excessive sports increase our cortisol levels, so exercise should beinfrequent and have a duration of no more than 40 min., because from that moment testosterone begins to decline in favor of cortisol.
If we really want to live healthier we should take time to sleep and forget a little about our social life, which worries us so much. When you neglect your rest, this becomes an anxiety factor that alerts your immune system and can make you forgetful and that “float” appears on your abdominal perimeter, that when the summer comes you want to eliminate and you are not able to remove it even with good diet and exercise. Dude that is because of cortisol .
But not only that, little rest does not make us resistant to insulin , it will block your fat loss(to lose weight it is necessary to rest well), so you will gain weight , become ill and have all the ballots to develop diabetes …
